John and I both grew up in Iowa, and in 1998, we moved to Minnesota and raised our kids for 20 years. Some of our favorite family memories were created spending countless hours on our front porch at our home in Minnesota. Many friends, family members, and strangers all spent time sitting, having a drink, and enjoying conversation with each other gathered on the porch. After our kids were all grown, we moved back to Iowa to be closer to our families in 2018. When we decided to create Porch Light Candle Company, we knew that we wanted to evoke some of those wonderful memories!
Our candles are poured in Calamus, IA, and we strive to make an all-natural product. We pour with 100% pure soy wax that was regionally sourced right here in the Midwest. Our wicks are all cotton and paper. Many of our fragrances are custom blended from “clean,” phthalate-free products.
