Big things are coming!

Greetings, candle friends!

It’s spring. I think. 80 degrees last week, freeze warnings this week, welcome to Iowa!

Well, it’s spring in the PLCC workshop. Our “Small Town Summer” fragrance collection have hit the website. They are available in the 9 oz. tumbler and wax melts. Each one brings to mind our favorite summer activities: Backyard Lilac-This is the one floral that I love. To me that’s an announcement of spring. Girl’s Night Out-What can I say? Spending a Friday evening ( or late afternoon!) at a winery with a friend is the BEST way to usher in the weekend! Summer Breeze-The smell of the breeze as John and I sit on the front porch of our 1920’s farmhouse is amazing. I’ve never lived in the country till now and I’m a country convert! County Fair-Do you enjoy the fair? We sure do. The smells are my favorite thing. Even the animal smells from the livestock barns! Just imagine cotton candy, candied apples, caramel corn, fresh hay, and sweet corn. That’s the feeling you’ll get with this fragrance.

We’ve also added a Porch Light signature fragrances to the website. It a 15 oz. double-wicked candle that we call “Porch Swing.” Hints of jasmine, green, fresh air, and other notes create this candle that will be a year-round favorite.

There’s so much to look forward to this year. We are in the process of converting our 1920’s corn crib on our farm into a retail space. The opening will happen during another big event for us: a multi-stop shop hop in our area! Keep a look out for more details about that.

In May 12-13,2023, we head to the Iowa County Shop Hop in Williamsburg, IA. This will be our third time there and we can’t wait to meet new friends and connect with past customers. Porch Light is part of the Midwest Makers Market portion of the shop hop and we’ll be in the Outlets of Williamsburg. See you there!

And lastly, do you know of an organization that would profit from a fundraiser? I can help with that. Organizations will make 50% of their sales! That’s pretty good. Let me know if I can help with that.

Enjoy the spring! Keep watching our Facebook and Instagram for future events, and visit the website often. Things are always changing!
